Days 2 & 3 aka The Dreaded Weekend.

The weekends are hard. I knew going into this challenge that weekends would be a chore to get through but I’m committed to getting it done. Now that we are on the other side of this first weekend I can happily say I completed all my exercise and nutrition goals but boy oh boy did it take some extra effort especially Saturday.

My family is two and a half hours away and on days we go visit that means at least 5 hours of sitting in a car. Also my parents are elderly so when we visit, it’s a lot of sitting, chatting and eating. Needless to say, when we got home at 8pm that night I was nowhere near my step goal. Excuses have no place in beast mode though so I spent a couple hours in the dark walking from one end of our property to the other until I was over my 10k step goal. When we have the proper mindset, anything is possible.

Sunday was much better. We went and walked about 3 miles in the morning to start the day right and easily finished and exceeded the step goal before the end of the day. This along with two DDPY workouts a day and logging all my food has been hard but it is slowly showing me that I can do these things if I’m willing to put in the work.

I’m very excited to see this journey through and I’m already approaching a new weight loss goal I had set. My 90 day weight goal is ambitious but i have faith that I can get this done. We have a full week ahead so let’s put our heads down and push forward!
